Two arrested for murder, fraud

Emeka Okechukwu and Emeka Akaraka, from Amuzu, Ikeduru in Imo State, who reside in Rivers State, have been arrested by the Enugu State State Police Command for conspiracy in the alleged murder of  Paschal Eneje, 28, of Nsude, in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Punch reports that the duo was also apprehended by the  Intelligence and Investigation Department of the command for duping the parents of the deceased of N300,000 under the guise that they knew those behind the killing of their late son  who was murdered  on April 19, 2014.

The PRO of Enugu State police command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu DSP, who confirmed  the development, said:

“The said Emeka Akaraka allegedly conspired with the husband and called the mother of the deceased on phone claiming that she also has a baby boy for the deceased which was also discovered to be false.

She had collected money for the up keep of the said child which was also given to her through the account she provided  and never brought  the said child to the bereaved couple as they constantly will request.”
