Leeds United and manager Daniel Farke have reached an agreement in principle over a contract extension. According to a report by The Athletic, the new deal will keep the German tactician at Elland Road until 2029—a clear sign of the club's unwavering faith in the manager who took the reins in the summer of 2023.

It emerged in early September that the Yorkshire outfit were determined to retain the German and were actively ironing out the final details, with his existing deal running out at the end of the current campaign. Constructive dialogue throughout the summer transfer window and aligned decisions on new signings convinced the hierarchy that the 49-year-old is central to the club's long-term vision. Negotiations began behind the scenes early in the summer, following a campaign in which Farke steered the side to a 14th-place finish in the Premier League.

"Only a few formalities remain before the deal is officially signed, but both parties have reached a full agreement regarding the framework of the new contract," sources familiar with the talks revealed.
