Akpeyi announced the birth of his son on social media with a photo of the now-born. “He won every battle, he is a true warrior. Welcome home son,” the South-Africa-based goalkeeper wrote. 

The Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper also said the baby arrived 10 days before he made the announcement. 

The new bundle of joy is Akpeyi’s second son with his wife. The first was born in August 2018. 

The 33-year-old goalkeeper and his wife Emmanuella have known each other for a long time. The couple first tied the knot in a traditional ceremony in December 2016 before their white nuptial in June 2017.
