A lot of people lie on social media, everywhere and rationalize it by saying, 'Everybody lies.’

Romans 12:2 shows us the error in this way of thinking by saying,"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind..."

Lying simply because others are, does not make it okay.

Besides, not being truthful prevents you from being truly free, it also takes you away from God.

Today, we are urged to be truthful and honest in our dealings with neighbours, friends and family.

Zechariah 8:16 reinforces this, "These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace."

1 John 3:18 also says, "Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth."

Let us all strive to always say the truth, because it is the right thing to do!
