Spanish police seize $50,000 from mother of Real Madrid star

Mother of Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo is currently having problems with the Spanish police authority.

€45,000 (£50, 000) was seized from Dolores Aveiro at Madrid Airport after she tried leaving the country without declaring the cash.

The cash was discovered in her hand luggage by Civil Guard and was forcefully taken from her an according to Spanish Newspaper, .

This happened in May and the newspaper says that the mother of Cristiano was not arrested.

She was detained for a few minutes before allowing her to fly to Portugal with the remaining €10,000 ($11, 000) she was carrying.

Travellers entering or leaving Spain with more than €10,000 in cash or cash equivalents have to declare it under the anti-money laundering and tax evasion law.
