'Cristiano Ronaldo never gives up' - All sins forgiven as Ten Hag praises Ronaldo
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has hailed Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo after the player's performance on Thursday night.
Ronaldo scored the third goal of United's comfortable 3-0 victory over Sheriff Tiraspol in their Matchday 5 fixture of the UEFA Europa League season.
The 37-year-old was making a comeback to the Manchester United lineup after his banishment to the U21s' as a disciplinary action for leaving the bench during United's league clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

Ronaldo was named in the starting XI for the visit of the Moldovan side to the Old Trafford with Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Bruno Fernandes providing ammunition from the attacking midfield positions.
However, despite good service from the midfield trio, Ronaldo was quite wasteful in front of goal, missing two (2) clear-cut chances before finding the back of the net in the 81st minute.
It was for his perseverance that Ten Hag hailed the elite forward, stating that Ronaldo's career is built on never giving up.
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Ten Hag said: "Yes, what you said, he kept going, the team kept going to put him in the right position. He kept going to put himself in the right position.
"He didn't give up. That's his whole career. That's why he's so good and he got the reward for it."
Ronaldo did not have the best night under the lights at Old Trafford, scoring just one (1) goal despite having seven (7) shots in total during the match, with only three (3) shots on target.
The former Real Madrid man will hope to maintain his place in the starting XI when Manchester United take on West Ham United on Sunday, October 30 at Old Trafford.
