Newly promoted Premier League side Coventry City has officially completed the signing of central forward Sidiki Sheriff. The young talent arrives from Turkish giants Fenerbahçe in a deal reportedly worth 24.5 million euros.
The 19-year-old Guinean international has penned a long-term contract with the Sky Blues. He spent the last six months in Istanbul, making 15 appearances and scoring three goals for Fenerbahçe. Prior to his stint in Turkey, Sheriff was part of French club Angers.
Sheriff's arrival brings Coventry's total number of new signings for the season to eight. He joins goalkeeper Karl Rushworth, defender Aurel Amenda, midfielders Caleb Irenkey, Frank Onyeka, and Gustavo Hamer, as well as forwards Lum Chauna and Taiwo Awoniyi.
Coventry City is set to kick off their Premier League campaign with a challenging away fixture against reigning champions Arsenal on Friday.
