The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria have received a huge boast ahead of their clash with Chile in the on-going FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Emmanuel Amuneke’s men will face host of the World Cup Chile on Tuesday, October 20 and the Chileans will be without one of their crucial players.
Fabian Manilla has been ruled out of Tuesday's Group A clash after suffering a severe ankle injury just seven minutes in their opening group game with Croatia which ended 1-1 at the Estadio Nacional in Santiago on Saturday.
Chilean Football Federation through their website confirmed that the Catholic Cross University defender will play no part in the team's group games but will undergo further tests on his ankle.
"What is unclear from Monilla injury is that we don't know how long he'll be out. He has to undergo more tests so we can know what other steps to take," Chile's U-17 coach Miguel Ponce was quoted to say by the report.
“It's unfortunate that he won't play but he'll be with us ."
Golden Eaglets currently lead the group with three points while Chile are currently tied with Croatia on one point.
