Super Eagles defender joins Nantes on loan

Awaziem made 10 appearances for Porto’s first team last season from their B Team where he impressed.

The 20-year-old according to several reports has joined Nantes, becoming the first signing of new coach, Claudio Ranieri.

Nantes are however yet to confirm the report.

Awaziem has had a good year. He was selected from the Porto B last season for a couple of first team appearances where he impressed.

He got his national team call-up and had his Super Eagles debut in Nigeria’s 3-0 win over Togo in a friendly on June 1.

He got his competitive debut in Super Eagles’ shock 2-0 home defeat to South Africa in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
