The French international is set to move to Stamford Bridge for a fee of £52 million (approximately €60 million) and will sign a six-year contract, running until 2032. Lacroix is expected to undergo his mandatory medical examinations today before finalizing his deal.

Lacroix was a pivotal figure in Crystal Palace's starting lineup last season, making 55 appearances across all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists. He played the full 90 minutes in their penalty shootout victory over Liverpool in the Community Shield in August, as well as in the 1-0 win against Rayo Vallecano in the Conference League final, which secured Palace their first European trophy.

Palace acquired Lacroix from German club Wolfsburg in August 2024. The German club is also set to receive a significant sum due to a clause entitling them to 10-15% of the player's next transfer fee.

The 26-year-old Lacroix's strong performances earned him a spot in France's World Cup squad. He made three appearances in the tournament, including against England in the third-place playoff match.
