Cole Palmer has committed his long-term future to Chelsea after putting pen to paper on a new contract keeping him at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2034, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein. The 24-year-old was already tied down for the next seven seasons, but has extended his stay by a further 12 months on improved financial terms that reflect his pivotal role in the squad.

The move represents the latest step in Chelsea's strategy of securing their core players on lengthy agreements. In 2026, club captain Reece James, midfielder Moisés Caicedo, forward João Pedro, and winger Pedro Neto also penned fresh terms.

Palmer had previously made his intentions clear back in April, reiterating that he had no desire to leave the London club.

Since arriving from Manchester City in 2023, the playmaker has made 138 appearances for the Blues, racking up 58 goals and 34 assists. Palmer played an instrumental role in Chelsea's triumphs in the Europa Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025.

The England international has made a bright start to the current campaign, tallying four goals and two assists in his opening seven matches across all competitions. Although named in the recent England squad, he was forced to withdraw due to a muscle issue.
