"I can't believe people got angry at Sophie for speaking the truth. She said: 'I'm defending the girls. No transgender players in the WNBA.'"

"When was the last time we heard anything positive about the WNBA? And I'm a fan of this league. But all I hear about is the transgender player controversy and all these egregious violations. The league was starting to gain traction, expansion is on the horizon. But all we hear are negative things," Barkley commented.

"I'm disappointed in Adam Silver and Cathy, the commissioner of the women's league. They should have spoken out two weeks ago, before all of this, because now people are seeking attention and trying to exploit the situation. They should have said: 'There will be no transgender individuals in the WNBA, and we will not discuss this further.' Adam and Cathy should have stated that two or three weeks ago, before everything went viral online. They allowed every fool, idiot, and simpleton to express their opinion," the legend concluded.
