Seyi Shay, Iyabo Ojo are a year older

Today is the birthday of Nigerian singer Seyi Shay. She turns 30.

Seyi Shay whose real names are Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua is also a songwriter and record producer.

In 2008 she became a singer in the now defunct girl group From Above managed by Beyonce’s father Matthew Knowles. The group split up and she moved to Nigeria in 2011.

She signed to Flytime Promotions and quickly got her solo career running. In 2013 she left Flytime and released the hit single ‘Irawo’. In 2014 she released the singles ‘Ragga Ragga’, and ‘Murda’ featuring Patoranking and Shaydee. Later that year she teamed up with Wizkid for the single ‘Crazy’.

Her biggest song till date is her 2015 single ‘Right Now’. In November 2015 she released her debut album Seyi or Shay.

Today is also the birthday of Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo. She turns 38.

Iyabo Ojo hails from Ogun state and her movie career started in 1998. She has two kids.
