Getafe continue to scour the free agent market this October to bolster head coach Jose Bordalas' options following a sluggish start to the campaign.

According to reports from Spanish outlet Marca and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid legend Dani Carvajal has reached a full agreement with the Madrid suburban outfit and put pen to paper, with an official announcement expected imminently. The right-back had already agreed personal terms days ago and passed his medical before signing a deal running through the end of the season. The move was initially held up by La Liga's strict salary cap regulations, which temporarily stalled his registration.

The hurdle was cleared after Getafe president Angel Torres provided a bank guarantee to the league hierarchy to unlock the necessary financial leeway. The club intend to officially unveil Carvajal following Thursday's UEFA Conference League clash against Universitatea Craiova.

With the defender's arrival all but sealed, Getafe are now turning their attention toward Dani Parejo. The seasoned 37-year-old midfielder has been without a club since his contract with Villarreal expired at the end of last season, and talks between the two parties are already underway. Parejo, a La Liga stalwart with extensive top-flight experience across spells at Real Madrid, Valencia, and Villarreal, previously donned Getafe's colors between 2009 and 2011.

The club's recruitment drive will not stop there. Beyond Carvajal and Parejo, the board are keeping tabs on the free agent market and preparing yet another reinforcement, according to Marca. The goal is to provide Bordalas with ample squad depth as Getafe navigate a demanding season competing on three fronts.
