A number of the roughly 400 SC Braga supporters at Parken Stadium made their frustration known at full-time, waving white handkerchiefs at manager Carlos Vicens following a heavy 3-0 defeat against FC Copenhagen.

The traditional gesture of discontent aimed at the Spanish boss comes during a rough patch for the Arsenalistas, who have managed just one win across their last five outings: Estrela da Amadora (1-2), Estoril (1-0), Santa Clara (0-0), Sporting (1-3), and Copenhagen (0-3).

Asked about the fans' reaction by DAZN, Vicens vowed to the Braga faithful that the team "will give everything to turn this around as quickly as possible, starting this Monday against Gil Vicente" in the league.

"We must respond with competitiveness, results, and aggression," he urged, recalling that "there were also difficult moments last season," but everyone "stuck together."

Reflecting on Thursday's UEFA Conference League opener, the Braga head coach felt the "millimetres on Ricardo Horta's disallowed goal would have completely changed the game."

"It felt like everything went against us. We're not going to make excuses about bad luck, but a string of negative circumstances means we go home on the end of an ugly scoreline that doesn't do justice to the match," he analysed, adding that the team must now make "an extra push to pick up points in the remaining five games."

Ricardo Horta: "Under this manager, we've already shown..."

Also speaking in his post-match interview, club captain Ricardo Horta expressed confidence that fortunes will soon improve: "This is just the start; we still have five games left to win. The target remains the same: finishing in the top eight."

"When the results don't come, it looks like everything is wrong, but I don't see it that way. Of course we need to tweak a few things, but under this manager, we've already shown we can hurt teams, play great football, score plenty of goals, and be aggressive on the ball. We want to turn this around on Monday," the skipper insisted, offering his full backing to Vicens.

"The fan protests? It's normal—they want to win, but I believe that together we will turn this around. We need to get them back on our side," he concluded.
