Cancelo responds to criticism at Barcelona

Following Barcelona's recent setbacks against PSG (2-4) and Real Madrid (1-2), João Cancelo took to social media to share a message of resilience and self-belief, offering an indirect response to the criticism aimed at him in Catalonia.

The Portuguese international posted a black-and-white photo of himself from behind, accompanied by the track Yo creo en mí [I believe in myself] by artist El Armenio. Although the full-back included no written caption, the chosen song clearly underlines his determination to bounce back from consecutive defeats.

This is not the first time the Portuguese defender has spoken out on social media during difficult moments. Following the backlash after the clash at the Parc des Princes, he delivered a pointed message about the demands of top-level football: "From the stands everyone is an expert, and I would love to see them step onto the pitch and handle the pressure," he wrote at the time, soundtracking his post with Michael Jackson's They Don't Care About Us.
