Chelsea has officially announced that Moisés Caicedo has signed a new long-term contract with the club. The deal extends until 2033, and the midfielder will also receive a significant salary increase. His previous contract was set to expire in 2031.
Chelsea acquired Caicedo in August 2023, paying Brighton £115 million for his services. To date, the Ecuadorian has played 140 matches for the London club, scoring eight goals. A month prior, the club also extended the contract of captain Reece James, who signed until 2032.
“I am so happy to extend my contract with Chelsea. I believe in this team, in this club, and I know we are heading in the right direction. We've just started together. There is still much to achieve, and I am very hungry to continue improving every day. I want to win more trophies with Chelsea and give my all for this club and for the fans. We have already enjoyed great moments together, and my dream is to become a Chelsea legend, and I will work as hard as possible to achieve that.”
