The meeting is said to be holding inside the Presidential Villa in Abuja, according to Punch.

The Abdulsalam committee had supervised the signing of a peace agreement between Buhari and former President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of the March 28 presidential elections.

Other dignitaries at the meeting include the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’Ad Abubakar III; the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor; Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Revd. Nicholas Okoh; Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan; a former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mrs. Priscilla Kuye; and Senator Ben Obi among others.

Earlier reports had it that Jonathan had decided to seek the intervention of the peace committee after Buhari insisted on probing his administration “contrary to the terms of the 2015 poll peace agreement which led to a smooth transition from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).”
