Ideye on transfer deadline day joined the Greek champions for an undisclosed fee just a year after he joined West Brom on a club record of £10m.

The deal for the 26-year-old was finalised in time for him to be registered for the Champions League campaign where Olympiacos have been drawn in Group F of the group stage of the UCl with Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Dinamo Zagreb.

In total, Ideye made 31 appearances in all competitions for Albion, scoring seven times.

West Brom stay for Ideye and his compatriot Victor Anichebe became uncertain due to the record signing of Jose Salomon Rondon.

Tony Pulis when asked about the striker's situation was coy with his answers.

“Obviously Victor and Brown – people will look at them and think they have to now move on, but I think they’ve wanted to play more regular football anyway,” Pulis said after Brom's opening day defeat to Manchester City.

“The fact we’re bringing Salomon in – does it hasten their move from the football club? We’ll have to wait and see.”
