Rodgers and Charlotte have been dating since 2014 since the coach split with his wife of 14 years, Susan.

The former Swansea coach popped the question to his girlfriend at the Times Square in New York on Valentine’s Day.

A Liverpool fan, Craig Allen who witnessed the proposal said on Twitter that he saw the coach hand his girlfriend bouquet of roses before getting down on one knee.

“I saw this bloke proposing and took snaps to show my girlfriend,” Allen told the UK Sun.

“I was gobsmacked when I saw it was Rodgers. They stopped off in a Mercedes, he popped the question in front of a photographer, put the ring on and away they went.”
