The Boston Celtics recorded a 120-108 away victory against the Golden State Warriors to take Game 1 of the 2022 NBA Finals in the early hours of Friday, June 3, 2022.

The Warriors won all nine first games at the Chase Center this season and were confident to start the game taking the first quarter 32-28.

The Celtics bounced back to take the second quarter 28-22 as they went to the halftime break ahead.

The Warriors dominated the third quarter 38-24 but the Celtics produced an incredible comeback to take the fourth quarter 40-16 to close out the victory.

Horford ended the game as top scorer for the Celtics with 26 points, nine of 12 from the field and six for eight from three.

He played a huge role in the fourth quarter as the Celtics made 10 straight shots to shift the momentum of the game.

The Warriors now have a chance to respond again in front of their fans in Game 2 scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 5.
