Nigeria will for the first time be competing at the

The 2018 Winter Olympics have been ongoing since Friday, February 9 but none of the Nigerian representatives has been in competitive actions yet.

Simidele however on Monday, February 12 competing in the Women’s Training Heat 1 of the Olympics where she finished last in the time of 55.17s in the 19-woman race.

The result from the training Heat is however not significant in the race for a medal.

Bobsled

The Nigerian Bobsled team of Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere, Akuoma Omeoga will kick off their 2018 Winter Olympic campaign with the Women’s Official Training Heat races kicking off on Saturday, 17 to Monday, February  19.

The Training Heat results are not significant in the race for the medals.

They will start competing for the medal from the Heat races which kick off on Tuesday, 20 to Wednesday, February 21.

Simidele will be looking to bounce back from her poor finish at the training Heat when she resumed the official Heat race.
