It seems there is no stopping supporters of President-Elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari from celebrating his victory in a unique way as another staunch advocate of the former military head of state, Adamu Abdullahi, has vowed to undertake a tortuous trek from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, to the seat of power, Abuja, in time for the May 29 inauguration of the the Katsina State born retired Army General.

The 45-year-old Abdullahi is set to embark on his journey today, April 30, and hopes to be physically present for the swearing-in ceremony as well as congratulate Buhari personally.

Before leaving, Abdullahi called on all indigenes of Borno State to hand over their heart desires in a written form to him for onward delivery delivery to GMB in person.

Abduallahi joins the likes of Hashimu Suleiman, the man who purportedly trekked from Lagos and got to Abuja in 13 days to celebrate Buhari's victory.

Aftre the 'feat' by Suleiman, Abubakar Duduwale from Adamawa State also vowed to embark on such trek from Yola to the Federal Capital Territory while 35-year-old Mohammed Kabiru Jafaru from Kaduna State, set out on April 27 on a bicycle ride to Lagos, ostensibly to thank the Yorubas for voting in Buhari.
