Solange Knowles Gets Engaged After 5 Years Of Dating!

Beyonce and Jay Z can breath a sigh of relief now because little sister Solange Knowles has said "yes" after boyfriend of five years, Alan Ferguson popped the big question on June 23.

This becomes Solange's second engagement after divorcing ex husband and father of her son, Daniel Smith back in 2007. The singer told Harpers Bazaar that despite the divorce, he has been of great influence to her son,

"We co-parent really well. I’m able to say, ‘I need to finish this album, can you step up and take care of the boy – ?’”.

Back in 2003, 28 year old Solange said she was actually the one who approached 51 year old Alan.

"I have always sort of historically been one of those girls that go after something that I’m into. I’m not very old school and like I’m gonna wait on you... I have a lot of guy-like quintessential relationship qualities that I have had to work on."
