Spanish giants FC Barcelona could still have tougher times ahead in the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League group stages with two matches to go and all to play for.

The Xavi-led side need to win their remaining two matches against Bayern Munich and Viktoria Plzen to stand any chance of reaching the knockout stages of this year's competition.

Barcelona are currently third in Group C after Wednesday's 3-3 draw with Inter Milan left them with only four (4) points from four matches in the widely-acclaimed Group of Death.

'Nothing dramatic' - Nagelsmann on Muller injury

On the other hand, Bayern Munich have secured passage to the Round of 16 after a 4-2 away victory against Viktoria Plzen saw them maintain their 100% record with four wins out of four matches to progress.

The only downside to Bayern's night was a first-half injury to marksman Thomas Muller, with the German international taken off 28th minute at the Stadion Mesta Plzne.

However, Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that Muller's injury is not serious and the 33-year-old could be back in action as early as Sunday.

Nagelsmann said in his post-match press conference as reported by FCBayernGER on Twitter: "The back muscles have contracted a bit. It's nothing dramatic though, just a precautionary measure for Sunday."

With the availability of Muller for the second-leg fixture between Barcelona and Bayern Munich, it might be harder for Xavi's side to get a victory over a full-strength Bayern Munich team.

Muller is often seen as Barcelona's nemesis after the German international always seems to find the net against the Blaugrana.

Barcelona will host Bayern Munich at the Camp Nou on Wednesday, October 26 for their Matchday 5 fixture in this season's UEFA Champions League.
