'Barcelona is a top team that play good football' - Bayern coach Nagelsmann ahead of second leg
Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann has spoken ahead of his side's second-leg UEFA Champions League clash with Spanish giants FC Barcelona.
Nagelsmann believes that Bayern Munich still have all to play for against perennial rivals Barcelona in their upcoming Matchday 5 clash in Group C.
Bayern Munich have already secured qualification to the knockout stages with 12 points so far while Barcelona are on the brink of crashing down to the Europa League with only four points so far.
Bayern Munich will respect for Barcelona - Nagelsmann
Bayern Munich won their 11th consecutive Champions League group stage game on Wednesday against Viktoria Plzen, dispatching the Czech minnows 4-2 and 9-2 on aggregate.
Despite having already secured qualification for the next round, Nagelsmann has promised that his side will still prepare fully for their upcoming clash against Barcelona.
The German tactician said in his post-match press conference as reported by iMiaSanMia on Twitter: "We only look at ourselves, not at other teams. We want to finish top of group regardless of what other teams do. Barça is a top team with a very good coach and play good football"
Barcelona will welcome Bayern Munich to the Camp Nou on October 26 for the second leg of their Group C matchup.
Bayern won the first leg by a 2-0 scoreline at the Allianz Arena in Germany with Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sane the goalscorers in that encounter.
However, if Inter Milan defeat Viktoria Plzen on the same Matchday, Barcelona would still drop down to the Europa League for the second season in a row.
