Residents of Bayelsa State, today, December 7, 2015, took to the streets to protest the conduct of the governorship polls which held on Saturday, December 5.

The protest took place outside an office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state despite a police ban on demonstrations and rallies.
Most of the protesters are seen holding placards with messages against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Results which have been released by INEC show that incumbent Governor, Seriake Dickson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently in the lead.
Dickson’s fiercest opponent is Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
