Valentín Barco's wife, Yaz Juareguy, has branded Jude Bellingham "useless" and asserted that the English hero, who has scored six goals in the tournament, should have let his football do the talking, following the controversy that marred the match between England and Argentina.

The model and digital influencer posted a photograph of the moment the Real Madrid star slapped her husband on the head. Bellingham's reaction is believed to have been provoked by the left-back's decision to run and celebrate in front of the English players after Enzo Fernández's 85th-minute equalizer.

Despite Barco being an unused substitute in Wednesday's semi-final and Bellingham being one of the World Cup's standout stars, the model and digital influencer held nothing back. In a post after Argentina's 2-1 victory, she wrote: "It's better to speak on the field."

After facing criticism on social media, she deleted the original post but did not back down from defending her partner: "I didn't know that suddenly you can't celebrate goals, but you can support a violent person. Change sports if you're going to cry so much. Good morning," she later wrote.

Initially, the reason for Bellingham's strike on the Argentine player from behind was unclear. However, new footage shed light on the incident, showing the Argentine running onto the pitch after Enzo Fernández's goal and celebrating in front of the English players, instead of joining his teammates by the corner flag.

Paul Robinson, former England goalkeeper and BBC Radio 5 Live commentator, described Barco's attitude as "probably the worst example of unsportsmanlike conduct we've seen in this World Cup." The footage also suggests that Barco may have said something to Bellingham before the physical contact.
