Barcelona Make First Offer for Bastoni, Far From Inter's Asking Price

Rumors linking Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni with a potential summer move to Barcelona continue to gain momentum. However, reports from Italy and Spain indicate a significant disparity between the two clubs' valuations of the Italian international.

According to recent speculation, Barcelona submitted an initial offer of approximately 45 million euros for Bastoni, which was swiftly rejected. New information from "Sportmediaset" and "Calciomercato" suggests that Inter will demand a firm fee of 60 million euros, potentially rising to 70 million euros with included bonuses and add-ons. There are also suggestions that the Catalan giants may face considerable difficulty meeting Inter's demands, given their past issues with registering players under financial fair play regulations.

To circumvent the rumored 60-70 million euro transfer fee, there are claims that the Camp Nou club might attempt to include one of their players in a swap deal with the Nerazzurri. Names such as Gerard Martin, Ferran Torres, or even Dani Olmo are reportedly on the negotiating table. Meanwhile, Inter is said to be interested in signing Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo should Bastoni depart this summer.

The past few months have been personally challenging for Bastoni. He became a controversial figure in Italy following an incident during the derby between Inter and Juventus in February, and on Thursday evening, he was sent off in Italy's loss to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the final World Cup playoff.
