SP Dolapo Badmos, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the situation to the press.

She said, “He has not made any confession. He has refused to talk. He is just calm in the station. The police also have yet to get his real name.”

According to Punch Metro, Badoo , who was arrested on Sunday, June 12, 2016, is yet to reveal his name or write a statement.

The suspect was arrested in connection to the rape and murder of a Ghanaian woman, Grace Obinna, who was attacked at her residence in Ikorodu.

She was reported to have been strangled by the victim after he had raped her.

Badoo was soon apprehended by a group of residents, who took him to the palace of a traditional ruler.

He was handed over to the police after this.
