The Ekiti State governor has managed to survive an impeachment plot mounted against him by 19 former state legislators from the All Progressives Congress (APC), whose tenure expired today.

Fayose was seen gaily dressed as he headed for the inauguration ceremony of the new state assembly along with new lawmakers.

The governor wore a T-shirt and a red pair of shoes even as he rode on a bike to the Assembly complex.

Despite the fierce battle between Fayose and the lawmakers before their exit, the governor assures that all is forgiven because the evil plans against him failed.
