Current world-record holder Dennis Kimetto will come up against Wilson Kipsang in the 2015 London Marathon.

Kimetto set a fastest-ever time of two hours, two minutes 57 seconds when he took victory in the Berlin Marathon in September last year.

That mark beat the previous leading time of 2:03:23, set by Kipsang at the same course 12 months beforehand.

April's race in London will be the first time that the Kenyan pair have raced over this distance and the duo will start among the strong favourites.

"London always has the best fields but with Dennis in the line up this year it promises to be a bruising battle," said Kipsang, who is searching for a third London win after victories last year - when he set a course record - and in 2012.

Kimetto said: "I broke Wilson's world record in Berlin last year and I am relishing the chance to face my friend over the famous course."
