Atela, an upcoming singer speaks with Pulse Music on how he fell in love with music and decide to take the plunge with music.

“I started music in the choir, I was the youngest of the choir, so they called me Smallie” he enthused.

He talked about how he used to read a psalm book in Catholic church and was encouraged to continue with it, and also the guitar bought for his elder brother by their father sparked his music interest even more.

On his new song ‘Ojuju calabar’, Atela explained that the song came about when he embarked on his trip to Obudu in Cross River state along with his guys, and was inspired by the beautiful scenery and women there.

About working with Clarence Peters, he recounted it as an awesome experience working with the prolific music video director.

The emerging artist signed to Squeeze Records had his first professional recording titled ‘Magic’ in 2016 which he said he got good feedback from, that encouraged him to do more.

On his upcoming projects, Atela promises more “awesome” music with a lot of excitement and tease.
