Club players beg fans after defeat to rivals

Facing the wrath of angry fans following Thursday's heavy defeat to local rivals Fiorentina, some Roma players took up the courage to plead with the club supporters.

Roma fell to 0-3 defeat at home (4-1 aggregate) to Fiorentina in the Europa League and according to some reports from Italy, ASerie A Roma fans had demanded players take off their kits as they weren't worthy of wearing them.

Roma captain Francesco Totti, goalkeeper Morgan de Sanctis and midfielder Daniele de Rossi led the rest of the team's players over to talk to fans after match pleading with them to have patience and also asking for forgiveness for their poor display.
