The moment Lionel Messi and his teammates discovered Jordan Pickford's water bottle went viral. They found that England's goalkeeper had meticulously prepared for a potential penalty shootout, which ultimately didn't happen as Argentina secured the lead late in the match.

"It's a shame we didn't have the same plans," wrote Argentina's fitness coach Luis Martin on social media. He also posted a photo of a sticker listing all of Lionel Scaloni's players who were considered potential penalty takers, should the score remain tied after 120 minutes.

One entry that caught fans' attention concerned Enzo Fernández. In England, it was believed he would shoot down the middle of the goal. When the midfielder read this, he immediately burst into laughter. Other Argentinian players who got their hands on the 32-year-old goalkeeper's bottle reacted similarly.
