Monaco forward Ansu Fati is set to be sidelined for around six weeks, according to French outlet Nice-Matin. It marks another frustrating setback for the 23-year-old, whose season has once again been blighted by injury after already missing the start of the campaign.
The Spaniard suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Lille. Fati started at Stade Louis II but was forced off after just 15 minutes, making way for Mathis Detourbe.
The blow comes just as Fati was beginning to find his rhythm. After making his first Ligue 1 start the previous week, he came off the bench in the second half against Freiburg on Thursday to score in a 3-0 win, earning him a second consecutive league start.
Fati is now expected to spend around a month and a half on the sidelines, with the medical staff hoping to have him back to full fitness shortly before the winter break at the end of December.
