Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson, who announced two days ago that he would be leaving the Merseyside club at the end of the season, has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with his new team. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Scottish international has agreed terms with Tottenham and is set to sign a contract with the London club in June. A crucial condition for this move is that the 'Spurs' must retain their Premier League status.
Tottenham had previously attempted to sign Robertson in January, but the transfer fell through. Now, other major clubs are showing interest, with Paul Joyce of "The Times" reporting that Atlético Madrid, Napoli, and Juventus are also keen on acquiring the 32-year-old left-back as a free agent.
Celtic, where Robertson began his youth career, is also being mentioned as a potential destination.
The Scot spent nine seasons with the 'Reds,' making 373 appearances and winning two Premier League titles, the Champions League trophy, the FA Cup, two League Cups, as well as the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FA Community Shield.
