Andrea Kimi Antonelli to stick with #12 next season

Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli is just two points away from clinching his maiden Formula 1 World Championship, with a prime opportunity to seal the title this Sunday in Mexico City.

Back in Austin, Antonelli was already asked whether he plans to switch to the #1 reserved for the reigning world champion next season or stick with the #12 he selected for his rookie F1 campaign.

That does not mean his decision is final, however. Should he secure the crown, he will have until teams submit their official entry lists for next season to decide which car number he wants to run.
