Swansea City have secured the services of exciting Ghanaian forward Andre Ayew on a bosman transfer.

The former Marseille forward has signed a four-year deal worth £50,000, making him the best paid in the Welsh club.

Swansea fought reported interest from Liverpool, AC Milan, Roma and Bayer Leverkusen to land the 25-year-old.

Andre who is the son of African football great, Abedi Pele, underwent a successful medicals on Wednesday, June 10.

Speaking on the move, Andre Ayew who scored 10 goals for Marseille last season said the offer from the club was one he couldn't turn down.

"The project that the club has for the future is very exciting, and when I spoke to the chairman and manager I felt this was the right place for me," Ayew told Swansea official website.

"I felt that my desire to play in the Premier League and wanting to grow as a player meant that Swansea was the best solution for me in every way.

"Seeing the honesty and desire of the club made me feel that they really wanted me to come. They have proved that in all ways."
