According to a letter by FIFA dated April 11, 2016, if the decision of the federal high court in Jos last week is carried out, it would be considered a5 an interference in the internal affairs of the NFF, report said.

“…the case would be brought to the highest authorities of FIFA for consideration of sanctions, including the suspension of the NFF,” the letter read in part.

The letter which was signed by the acting Secretary-General, Markus Kattner, also said:“Lastly, we would like to Stress that the plaintiff in question already filed an appeal in relation to the same matter with the highest judicial Sport authorities, the Court that said appeal was dismissed by the CAS on 18 May 2015″.

A high court sitting in Jos, Plateau State Nigeria had on Friday, April 8, sacked nullified the September 2014, election that put Pinnick in office following petition by his opponent, Chris Giwa faction.

The court ordered that Giwa be installed as NFF President immediately, the ruling Pinnick has appealed, seeking a stay-of-execution.

It was gathered that Giwa had always faulted Pinnick's election, but his case had been ruled out by FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sports.

However, counsel to the NFF, Festus Keyamo has insisted that it is impossible for any court to sack Pinnick as he was not joined as a party in the suit.
