Coach Stephen Keshi and his side will take on Iran on Monday June 16, and the team is not leaving anything to chance. The boys are training hard amidst the Brazilian heat and they are giving in their best shot to ensure that the Country surpasses the World Cup record they set in USA 94.

Nigeria has never qualified from the group stage since Korea/Japan 2002 and the boys this time around do not want a repeat of that to happen again.

Our correspondent in Brazil has been with them since they touched down on June 10th and will remain with them till they last in the competition.

The team has gotten support from the Brazilian community, the local Campinas people and the Nigerian community as well.

The government is ensuring that the team does not lack anything in this edition of the World Cup; the country's president sent a delegation of the Senate President, Cross River state governor and other house of Assembly members to convey the president's message to the team while in Campinas.

The team set off to Curitiba where they will tackle Iran in another Group F game at the World Cup.

The team is well received in their base, the locals come to watch them train and they prefer Nigeria's victory to Argentina's.

One thing is sure, the team will not lack support against Iran or any other Group F opponent.

Nigeria's victory over Iran on Monday will make it a second in two meetings with the Asians.

Our wishes and goodwill go with them against Iran.
