Paraguay's national team coach, Gustavo Alfaro, has urged his squad to maintain their relentless work ethic as they aim to build on their World Cup performance.

"We must not let this flame die out, because it is the sacred fire that has always defined Paraguay," an emotional Alfaro stated after his team's elimination in the Round of 16 by France on Saturday in Philadelphia.
"I wanted us to go further. This was something I felt deeply, and that's why I leave with this pain. What we've achieved so far isn't enough for the 2030 World Cup, so we must keep working."
