After losing a couple of Player of the awards to Chelsea hotshot, Eden Hazard, Alexis Sanchez's prolific debut season for Arsenal has finally been rewarded.
The Chilean forward won the Player of the Year award at the inaugural Facebook Football Awards.
He also won the Content of the Year award for his impressive dribbling skills in a pre-match warm-up at the Emirates Stadium.
Sanchez was however not present at the awards which held at the the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, and received his trophy presented by team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain via video.
The former Barcelona star while reflecting on his debut season for Arsenal revealed that his goal against Manchester City in September's 2-2 draw was his highlight of the season.
Tottenham sensation, Harry Kane won the Young Player of the Year Award, his second for this season after the PFA.
The 21-year-old said his winner against Arsenal in February's North London derby was his highlight of the season.
Former Arsenal football stars, Ian Wright, Lee Dixon and Robert Pires attended the awards ceremony.
