Sanchez was one of Chile’s main men as they ran away with the Copa America title, beating Argentina in the final.

The Copa title however came at the expense of Sanchez’s ankle which got injured. The forward has been receiving treatment during his summer break.

This means that Arsenal could be without their main man in their 2016/17 Premier League opener against Liverpool on Sunday, August 14.

Arsene Wenger will be desperate to have Sanchez available for the game as he will be without a host of key players.

The likes of Olivier Giroud, Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny and Aaron Ramsey are certain to be out of the game as they would be resuming late after their Euro 2016 exploits.

With these players very likely to miss the Premier League opener, Wenger at this moment has only Theo Walcott available.

A new striker might be available on that day if Arsenal are successful in getting one of their targets.

Having being rejected by Jamie Vardy who chose to remain at Leicester City, Arsenal have been linked with the likes of, Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli, Alvaro Morata  of Real Madrid and Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette.
