England midfielder Alex Scott has left the Three Lions camp and returned to Bournemouth after sustaining a quadriceps injury. As a result, he will be unavailable for Thomas Tuchel in tomorrow's clash against the Czech Republic. In an even bigger blow, The Athletic reports that the 23-year-old could now face up to two months on the sidelines.

Scott, who is reportedly attracting strong interest from Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Real Madrid, earned his first senior England start in their emphatic 7-0 rout of Croatia in Rijeka. He played 70 minutes and registered an impressive 97% passing accuracy, having previously made his senior international debut off the bench against the Czech Republic in Prague.

Prior to his senior call-up, Scott was a regular starter for the Under-21 side and played an integral role in their 2025 European Championship triumph.

Bournemouth resume their campaign after the international break with an away fixture against Chelsea on Saturday, 10 October. Five days later, Marco Rose's side will host Sturm Graz in their first home match of the Europa League group stage.
