The only stumbling block on his contract renewal at Arsenal has been Wenger’s insistence on assuring the 23-year-old a place in midfield.

Although he has impressed from the wings, Chamberlain has hopes of having a long career in midfield and at 23, he feels his next contract should assure him of a place in that position.
