According to multiple reports, Alamieyeseigha's remains will be interred in his country home in Amassoma, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.

While notable indigenes of Ijaw led by ex-President Goodluck Jonathan have continued to eulogise the former governor of the state, commercial activities in the state capital, Yenegoa as well as Alamieyeseigha's hometown, Amassoma had been halted.

This, the burial committee said, was to honour the strong politician, who was pronounced dead on Saturday, October 10, 2015, after allegedly slipping into a coma on Thursday, October 8, 2015.
