Agnieszka Radwanska beats Andreea Mitu at Wimbledon

Agnieszka Radwanska was rarely tested in her rain-delayed first-round match with Andreea Mitu as she recorded a 6-2 6-1 win at Wimbledon.

The fourth seed's match was one of five in the women's draw to be suspended on day one due to the weather, and she resumed on Tuesday with a 4-2 advantage on court two.

She wasted little time in wrapping up the triumph, winning eight of the nine games played after the resumption to complete a comprehensive success.

Mitu was unable to test the Pole's serve in the opening game, and almost immediately the first set was over as Radwanska broke at the first opportunity.

She continued her domination into the second set to open up a 5-0 lead as Mitu's accuracy deserted her and too many unforced errors gifted her opponent the advantage.

The world number 213 was able to win just one second-set game but Radwanska proved too strong and another impressive service hold was decisive.

Radwanska, losing finalist in 2012, faces Australian Casey Dellacqua in the next round.
