The live  music and art showcase was however caught napping by the rain on the night.

Right after the warmup sessions by Ade Bantu and his band., guest artist Mz Kiss, the Capital Hill act put some energy into her performance, giving off Fuji vibes.

Not long after she left, nature took its course, the winds started blowing and soon enough the rains were let down. Everybody took for shelter under some stationed canopies. The mixers had been damaged by the rain.

After the rains died down, a number of people had left the venue. Plans changed, the live band arrangement had to be switched to DJ sets for the performances.

Now the show was taken backstage, as French rapper Leeroy came through and was a bundle of fun and good vibes. The diversity of  audience and music enthusiasts comprising foreign nationals and ofcourse Nigerians gathered closely to enjoy the Hip Hop act’s fine performance.

Leeroy rapping in French with local drums accompanying the DJ set. He also impressed with beatboxing skills. The audience was quite thrilled with Leeroy’s showmanship which confirms the universality of music.

Veteran R&B Soul Nigerian singer Paul Play Dairo who has been away from the music scene for a while  came through performing like fine wine his popular songs ‘Mo so rire’ and ‘Angel of my life’, taking the listeners back down memory lane. It was a good nostalgic feeling.

Sadly the ladies who were looking forward to Iyanya’s performance were quite disappointed. The singer apparently couldn’t make it due to the rains.

Music from the DJ continued to fill the air and that was pretty much how the night wrapped up.
