Our Man Crush all day, everyday, Teju Cole has finally blessed us with a beautiful love story that is melting hearts everywhere.
The Nigerian-American writer, photographer and art historian, centred the tender love story on Husain, a New York gas station attendant, and his troubles with love and women.
The story is titled “Second God” and was commissioned by BBC’s Radio 4 from Cole.
According to Brittle paper, the story comes in the form of a 15-minute audio clip voiced by Riz Ahmed, the English actor and rapper of Pakistani descent popularly known as Riz MC.
Described as one of the most interesting writers on multiculturalism working today, Teju Cole's Second God explores how definitions of love can differ around the world, and what this means for two people in modern New York.
Second God is not available in print.
Cole is the author of two books: a novella, Every Day is for the Thief and a novel, Open City.
He is currently working on two new books: Known and Strange Things, a collection of more than 40 essays, expected to be published in 2016, and Radio Lagos, a non-fictional narrative of contemporary Lagos.
